MER's sophomore release, die christmas, is almost a wrap. It is set to drop in mid-July. Featured on the album are several live tracks from our recent Springfield-East-Longmeadow Tour. Also included are three live Moldy Peaches tributes, as well as a live cover of Al Jolsen's "Mammy." You can also expect several new studio recordings, including a seven minute freestyle by Milly. We recorded covers of The Big Wu and Pink Floyd, as well as a followup to S/T's Land Down Under. Keep a lookout for the actual release date.
9-10-03 11:00pm This is Jon. I snuck onto this account. I just wanted to put in an update. MER is on hiatus indefinatetly. We have all decided that we needed to move on. On to greater projects and endevors than MER itself. Thanks to all the fans that stayed in there. You made MER what it had become and for that we are forever indebted to you. this is MER... MER began in early March of this year. It is a acoustic/spoken word project headed by frontman Jonathan August Miller Schwartzadler ("Milly"), with the support of core members Jon Martin, Noelle Korzenecki, Justin "JD" Beneitone, and Bailey "Bird" Simone. The goal of the MER project is to channel the raw, often manic passion of Milly into a palatable artform.
